Navigating the Next Era of Project Management for Professional Growth

Background and Introduction:

Professional Project Management Association (PPMA) established as a non-profit professional body, the PPMA carries the paramount mission to advancing the professional development for project management in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific Region. As socio-economic activities become increasingly complex and interconnected nowadays, the demand for competent, ethical and forward-thinking project management has never been greater. To have this rising demand fulfilled, our PPMA International Conference was born as the brainchild of renowned academics and experts of project management to foster international collaboration, and to champion continuous professional development of Hong Kong.

Our Commitments:

The PPMA is primarily a representative institution for project professionals. We are steadfast in our unmovable commitment to:

(a) promoting best practices including the framework of professional standards and accountability in project management; and

(b) advocating legislative development and policy changes to mandate the implementation and practice of project management in all business aspects such as engineering, construction, safety, quality assurance, legal, finance, building facility, artificial intelligence, innovation, and public sector management etc.

The members of OC are comprised of a dedicated team of volunteer professionals, academics, and business leaders who generously contribute their time, expertise, and networks to the planning and execution of the present Conference. Objective of the ICPPM 2026: In alignment with the theme of the event, the OC has outlined the following objectives for the Conference:

1. To disseminate best practices in the application of project management and the fostering of professional project manager skills with showcases from Hong Kong.

2. To encourage industry stakeholders to investigate and adopt cost-effective systems and processes that reinforce safety and quality behaviours for both SMEs and larger corporations.

3. To elevate the understanding of the intrinsic link between project management and sustainability within the supply chain, as exemplified by the ESG awards presented at the Conference.

Venue: The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong, 41 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon

These include the ESG Award for Environment, the ESG Award for Social, the ESG Award for Governance, and the Best Professional Project Manager. ▪ Open Forum for Collaborative Discussion: Following to the professional paper presentations on mega project management & governance as well as integrating AI with ESG, a significant portion of the event will be dedicated to an open forum where key stakeholders will convene. This platform will enable a rich exchange of perspectives on the most effective strategies for bridging the gaps on the path to project management excellence.
