President’s Message

It is my distinct honour, as the first President, to dearly welcome all members and partners onboard, and together we mark the inception of the Professional Project Management Association (“PPMA”).

What is PPMA?

Established as a non-profit professional body, the PPMA carries the paramount mission to advancing the professional development for project management in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific Region. As socio-economic activities become increasingly complex and interconnected nowadays, the demand for competent, ethical and forward-thinking project management has never been greater. To have this rising demand fulfilled, our PPMA was born as the brainchild of renowned academics and experts of project management to set rigorous professional standards, to foster international collaboration, and to champion continuous professional development.

Our Commitments

The PPMA is primarily a representative institution for project professionals. We are steadfast in our unmovable commitment to:

(a) promoting best practices including the framework of professional standards and accountability in project management; and

(b) advocating legislative development and policy changes to mandate the implementation and practice of project management in all business aspects such as engineering, construction, safety, quality assurance, legal, finance, building facility, artificial intelligence, innovation, and public sector management etc.

Our Aim and Mission

Through structured training, certification pathways, summits, conferences, seminars and knowledge-sharing platforms, we aim to raise the level of competence in any professions under our portfolio through project management practices, while supporting project practitioners in every stage of their career development.

Steered toward professional excellence, the PPMA shall partner with leading organisations and institutions for cross-sector collaboration, facilitate research initiatives for innovation development, and encourage knowledge transfer to drive sustainable development in project performance and outcomes. We are actively engaged with industry stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and community leaders to ensure professional and sustainable development in response to societal and economic needs. As we look to the future, our focus remains firmly on building a resilient, connected, and high-performing project management community - one that upholds the highest standards and delivers lasting value to the organisations and

communities it serves.

I invite all professionals, practitioners, and partners to join us in the above mission toward materialising our commitment. Together, let us champion the continued development of project management as a cornerstone of sustainable growth and strategic success.
